I agree. I grew up in Indiana, and  Hoosiers think of themselves as in 
the middle of the midwest. Now I always  thought the midwest consisted 
of Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Illinois,  Wisconsin, & Michigan; sort of 
the northern half everything east of  the Mississippi and west of the 
Smokeys. So I was stumped when I met  people from Kansas who thought 
THEY were from the midwest.   

Taking the larger view, my part of the country should be the mideast,  
with the midwest consisting of states just to the west of the  
mississippi but not as far as the Rockies.




Well being in Michigan, and on Eastern time, makes me believe I'm either on 
 the western edge of the "East Coast", or the eastern edge of the "Mid 
West".  Take your pick. I know from my house, it's a full day drive to the 
Atlantic  ocean though (I have an uncle who lives in CT). With the '08 Invasion 
being held  in Michigan, I don't know if that was an "east coast" meet, or an 
eastern "Mid  West" meet, as the 2010 Invasion was held in the "central Mid 
West". Now with  the 2012 Invasion being in Colorado, it'll be on the 
western edge of the Mid  West, or eastern edge of the west coast. (insert rolling 
eyes icon here) I'm not  sure what you want to call it, but I'll be there 
driving my 64 T-34 Ghia to it  (finished or not). : )
 
Maybe 2014 will be held in the east coast, in someplace like NY or  
something, as that would make for some nice cool air (most of the time) tour  
seeing. It's been a while since I was on the east coast, just sight seeing.
