[T3] Mystery when replacing 1/2 shaft

Sounds like the cap that covers the circlip, and the circlip holds the 
flange on.  It would only be on the transaxle side.

When I got mine back from rebuild, the builder had used some silicone 
type sealant around the cap too, I assume to help hold it in.
