  harbor freight sells a 1.5 watt solar charger item -#
Item #44768 -  that works well for trickle charging.
it's abouyt $20 and i have had several in use for years without a problem.
if  you're going to use it where it can get wet, i recommend coating the edges and the glass-plastic junction with silicone.
