At this point, I think you'd be miles ahead if you could find a good 
used tank. There are special features inside the FI tank that make it 
a poor candidate for inside sealant treatments. In addition to 
plugging any leaks, it is also quite likely to plug up a couple of 
very important, but small, passages inside the tank.

Rustthru in our tanks is rare, unless the car sat with water in the 
tank for a long time.

While most of the FI tanks are pretty much the same, there are minor 
differences in the ports over the years, so you should be careful in 
your search. I have several tanks here. I know I have a '72 and maybe 
a '73. Where are you located? These would be hard to ship.
