[T3] Clutch question

Could be that the shaft has turned inside that the hook is attached to but I would think it would go the other way. IF it had turned that way then with the pedal up you could see that sort of difference in the cable position. Shure could use some pictures. Just not sure how you could turn it in the direction it would need to do that.  

I have a 74 standard bug I will see if I can get a picture of the pedal assembly it is not currently in the car.

I'm not sure of that yet.... I need to call him again today and get him to look in there. I'm just not familiar enough with how the pedal assembly goes together..... but is it possible that something is wacked out and the pedal and the lever inside the tunnel are not correctly aligned in relation to each other?
