Nope, but endings change depending on the gender of the word or person's gender, plus other parts of the sentence, like the (der, de, das). Been a long time without speaking and especially writing, but take example of meine Frau, where e is added because it is relating to a female. Soup is feminine so die Suppe, the chair masculine so der Stuhl, and the auto das Auto. This is why I had to withdraw from German twice: I needed to speak it and practice regularly, but since I am an introvert, never seem able to make acquaintances in the class, and Vater (V is pronounced as an F) was too busy. Getting the money together for Rosetta Stone, as the technique is proven even working by ones self. In short, German is easier than the Romantic languages, such as French, as closer to English, just as in any language, one has to practice. Also, some are language intelligent so it is easier for them, like my Dad who can speak Russian, German, Arabic, fair amount of French, read Greek, Italian, and a bit of Hungarian. So try and learn a language as never know if one has a gift. ;) Hope this helps...
