I have Acrobat Pro and all the PDF's that were given to me on CD from Bob. They are broken up per section. It would have to be reassembled (easy), then bookmarked.

I have a couple of concerns with distributing the PDF's through my site though.

First, I don't know the legal ramifications of giving away the entire books in PDF format, so I wasn't comfortable putting them up in that format. Are these manuals considered public domain now? Are they still copyrighted by Volkswagen AG? What about the Bentley copies reproduction for sale currently?

Second, bandwidth isn't cheap and the files are large. The Parts List is about 800megs and the Service Manual is almost a gig and it's missing a book I'll have it soon). I could compress them a little bit to compromise quality to save space, but the files are still going to be very large. If I put these up on the wiki I am going to have to pay for the bandwidth that it costs for people to download them for free.

If there are enough requests for this and somebody wants to provide the hosting to host these files, I can link to them.
