Mine is non-redundant, too, since I only replaced one switch. If 
they're failing this fast, having redundant pairs may be pointless.

If this really is the problem, I suppose I could make up a little 
transistor switch to carry the load and have the MC switch only carry 
the transistor base current. That might be simple, and it would 
certainly be an easy fix if this is the only problem.
