[T3] Type 3 tires etc...

It seems unlikely that the idea of tires being made "illegal" after a certain age will get legs.    After all, imagine all the tire businesses and warehouses etc having to dispose of their inventory all the time....after some number of years...despite perfect storage conditions.

  There's only so many tires they can sell or give to zoos for gorilla swings. The rest are toxic, and dangerous (fire hazard) trash.  Maybe "out-of-date" tires can be sent to countries the USA doesn't like to endanger the "enemies" there...like in Cuba or Venezuela or France and Iran.

 Now, if they can invent a tire implant sensor, legally mandated for all, that tells the mileage and wear levels and other condition factors of tires, and if that sensor can send the info to The Authorities via some Global Positioning technology, owners of questionable tires can just have the penalties for bad tires automatically deducted from bank accounts.    Maybe the offending car can remotely be Turned Off by some remote control.      If it's for "our safety", or "for the kids", there's no limit on such intrusions.   

But the reason tire age limit laws won't do down is because such limits would mess with bizness....and tires are big biz, even including Big Oil...the real national and global ruler.
