Yeah .... I'd like to get the bumpers (both front and rear) back on
the car, too. Looks kinda "naked" without them.

Plus my wife accidentally walked into the exposed tailpipe & "opened
up" her right shin on June 13th last summer. It took 4 months to
heal. She would REALLY like the bumpers back in place. And so would
I. For different reasons.

At one time back in the 80's & 90's, I thought it made the car look
cool, sans bumpers. But for the last two years, after the car had
been stored for 10+ years, I've been impressed with having my '69 go
back to TOTALLY STOCK! Much of that impetus comes from a Madison guy.
Hmmmmm. I wonder who that could be? He's never been "pushy" about
stock vs. custom, but I feel he approves of stock ... when possible.

But your Impact Bar "Tabs" sounds like a good suggestion to carry the
cantilevered weight of the Axle Beam Tow Bar, as well as the "dead
weight" (albeit aluminum) of the Blue Ox Tow Bar between the VW Tow
Bar and the motor home hitch receiver. The Blue Ox has rotational as
well as vertical freedom to move without any resistance
