I hope you realize that the only way this could have happened is that 
you didn't get the tab inserted correctly when you installed the 
points. That tab will never jump out on its own.

So, in the same area where you were stopped on the side of the road, 
2 other cars stopped and blocked 2 out of 3 traffic lanes? Wow, 
there's no shortage of stupidity in the driving public.

A year ago I watched a car drive halfway thru an I-Pass toll area 
before realizing he didn't have an I-Pass transponder. So he slammed 
on his brakes and stopped in the middle of the fast lane on the 
freeway. That was on the freeway, in the Chicago area.

Later that night, we witnessed a minor accident on the freeway, 
followed by a half dozen people getting out of the car in the middle 
lane and then wandering around in the traffic lanes, engrossed in 
their cell phones, IN THE DARK!!!
