Dennis,

There's a special problem that can occur only with '72s, if you get 
the wires installed wrong on the starter. This will make the FI run 
rich all the time, but especially rich when cold.

Here's the test:

When you get in the car and turn the key to ON, do you hear a relay 
click and then a second click about 1 second later? You should hear 
both clicks. If you only hear the first click, you have a problem, 
probably this one.
