Dennis,

There's a special problem that can occur only with '72s, if you get the
wires installed wrong on the starter. This will make the FI run rich all the
time, but especially rich when cold.

Here's the test:

When you get in the car and turn the key to ON, do you hear a relay click
and then a second click about 1 second later? You should hear both clicks.
If you only hear the first click, you have a problem, probably this one.

That would be very possible since just about every wire has been un hooked
and reattached during this restoration. When we first checked out this FI
system out when it was on the parts car I remember it making 2 clicks but
since we transferred it from the square to Clementine I can't remember
checking to see if they are 2 clicks now.  Will defiantly look into that.
