[T3] Windshield in

It bears repeating that water than gets behind the upper parts of the
windscreen seal forms a column of water behind the seal and builds up quite
a pressure at the bottom, which forces it over the body screen sill as well
as round the glass and causes leaks into the inside.

So it's important to get behind the seal all the way round, next to the body
and around the glass. Some of the fluid 'leak-finder' products are better
at doing this than the thick sealants, which are more suitable for sealing
voids and cracks.

I used some form of clear silicone to seal mine over 25 years ago and they
haven't leaked since! In my case, the seals were leaking from cracks and
shrinking.

Be sure to seal both sides of the exterior of the seal.

I lifted up the seal edge to apply sealant underneath, then wiped off the
excess.

I also applied it to the surface of the seal as it was very dried out and
cracked. Now that it's a couple of decades later, the stuff I applied to the
surface has dried up and turned white and is peeling.
