Yes, the best thing to do is to just drive, rather than let it warm
up at idle. Warmup is much quicker and easier on the engine under
moderate load. If the loping happens enough to annoy you, turn the
idle down a bit.

That's because the aux air reg has warmed up and slowed down the
idle.
