I am following this topic. I think the wife and I are pretty certain that we want to travel to the 2014 Type 3 invasion in Buffalo. This is a must have list of items for a 1600 mile drive in a 40+ year old car.

-- wire stripper and some male-female elec. connectors,

-- sm. container of bearing grease,
-- Allen wrench for bearing nuts,
-- vice grip pliers, sm. and standard,
-- a sm. can with nuts, screws, washers
-- and a small squeegee (the VW "defrost" system).
