[T3] Wire Question

Brown is always ground (looks like dirt, right?) on VWs, so the brown 
wire runs from the case of the generator to the case of the voltage 
regulator. That's just to insure that both of those grounds are the 
same.

The black wire was part of the VW Computer Diagnosis harness. It 
would have gone to the D+ terminal on the generator.
