I would try what Jim suggested run it without the vacuum advance. Most every setup of Dellorto carb I have seen including my 45s I ran on my bug used a 009 or one of the MSD.

A few questions;

1) Am I the first person in the history of type 3's to use dellorto carbs on an automatic?

2) what is the stall of a type 4 torque converter vs a type 3? Or are they the same?

3) how does one get a clean vacuum signal from Dell's to the vacuum advance?
