[T3] seats & adjustment cams

The cams come as left hand and right hand, and are the same for both seats.
So only two patterns to make.

I would have thought that there should be a fair few of these out there in
not too bad shape, as many cars only have a driver much of the time, and
there isn't much load on an unoccupied seat. I guess a certain amount of
chafing may happen. I would expect to throw out most of the seats with bad
fabric - in fact I have some parts waiting to go to the recycling centre
when I next visit. I'll see what I can salvage in decent condition.

Bob, that was probably me. I actually located a pair of NOS cams. I have
plans (still unfulfilled) to have them precision measured (perhaps with a
CMM machine) so that we can build a solid model, which can then be shopped
around to machine shops to have them made on a CNC machine, perhaps using a
stronger material. But two things stand in my way:
1) I have not been able to get them measured. the possibility of having it
done at work no longer seems feasible.
2) I have 2 cams. there are 4 on a car. are they the same on each seat, or
are there 2 more OEM cams I need to find? I have to figure this out.
I will need to figure out the demand vs. cost tradeoff to know if what these
new cams would have to sell for to break even. I'm not looking to make any
money, just spread the parts and cover my costs.
I dont foresee this happening for a year or more. But at least we have the
raw material to make a project out of it that will help MANY T3 owners with
worn out seats. Any serious help in getting this done is welcome!
