[T3] The use of 6 volt fly wheels and starter.

Hello All,

In my old 67 6 volt split kombi I did a 12 volt conversion bolting an alternator on to the existing non functional generator body. Looked a bit untidy however my system worked for years. I must mentioned no different flywheel or starter was used!

I am sure this is also the case on my 66 type 3 fastback. It's worth a try before getting too involved with 12 v starter and flywheels.
