[T3] 73 T3 IRS rear bearings?

In my last email I wrote I checked both sides and the only movement I found
was witha bar under each tire lifting up there was play . I can't really
measure it. Both sides if I pull on the tire and push it back the max I feel
is .010" to .015" . I also rotated each wheel 90 degrees and 180 degrees and
had the same result. I did this just to check the bearings in different
positions.

I removed the hub caps saw no evidence the nuts were loose on the hubs or
the shafts. I also rotated each wheel and felt no roughness and heard no
noise and I hear no noise driving.

Seems I'm down to this up and down play. If it were the ball bearing I
suspect it would have a lot more than .010" - .015" play . Turning the
wheels 90 and 180 degrees tells me the up down play I do feel is not the
bearings.

All I can think of is it possible that the top area of the roller housing
has somehow developed a gap from weight so this is why I can life up the
wheels which is the only area I feel play in? I have never over loaded the
cargo area , most I ever had back there was 250 lb's .

It does not seem to matter what position either R or L wheels/bearings are
in ,the only play I consider a concern is the play I feel lifting either
wheel up with a bar. I can only hazzard a guess and say they move up from a
settled down position an 1/8" . When I drive it and make a turn where one
wheel is going down in a dip while the other wheel it moving up like a drive
way I don't hear a clunk .

I can't make sense of this play. Any thought's would help .
