[T3] 412 Brake Caliper Question

When I installed the runners and IAD I had everything loose and nothing was
off in that respect. It was a suggestion given because back in 2009 the
engine was hunting and I was told clamps would insure there was no vacuum
leak, well that was not the problem. Now over time I fear given the clamps
are not real tight that they have most likely deformed the boots.

My main point of bringing up the auto trans dipstck is it's so difficult to
read. My observation is that up to the first mark on the stick the trans
fluid shows as if the fluid clings and is highly visable , past that point
it only covers half with width of the stick .

When I first filled the drained trans to the 6 pints and didn't add the 5
oz . What I described above was the result . Then I added the 5 oz and the
fluid appeared to be more visable above the first mark ( was not half the
width of the stick ) yet it was not really filling the groove on the high
mark so I added another 3 oz and this seemed to fill the high mark groove
and the slight bit above that high mark was more or less a thin short wipe
not something I felt was to much fluid. Bentley states from low to high is
13.5oz I've read 16 oz in some old T-3 text. . Yet here we are talking
checking the level meaning if at the low mark one would be safe to add say 7
oz to bring it close to between the 2 marks. Yet no where can I find where
the level should be after adding the 6 pint's 5 oz . I can assume between
the marks or at the hgih mark. I can't imagine the 3 oz I added made much
difference , it just seemed to provide a clearer I'm at the high mark
reading.

Maybe it's just me I've always had trouble reading that stick yet never had
an issue as long as it seemed to read above the low mark.
