You could, but your problem is really unlikely to be in the brain.

Have you checked to make SURE you have fuel PRESSURE? The fact that 
you can hear the pump motor running does NOT guarantee that it's actually 
pumping. Pump failures at this age are MUCH more common than brain 
failures.

I'm worried that you're fixating on the brain, rather than doing a step by step 
troubleshooting approach. This is likely to cost you more in money and more 
in time.
