ISP West calls out 5mm for early and 7mm for late wiper shafts.

Has anyone tried fitting late shafts (and the late wipers) into an early
tube?

If the length of arm that attaches to the wiper motor and connector are the
same, it should work.

It would be nice to have the late wipers with the larger diameter shafts.

The 1970 version is a different beast altogether.
