[T3] 2024 Invasion Trip Report

Day 4 – Saturday June 22nd continued…

As I mentioned in my previous post, Bicentennial Park was a beautiful site for the Invasion.  Here are a few “glamour” shots of Sophy and the Ghia on-site…

After spending the day at the park, we all headed to the War Cannon Spirits Restaurant for our traditional Saturday dinner and handing out the awards, etc.  We had a private room upstairs and a buffet style dinner.  The staff and food was excellent and a good time was had by all. By my count, we had 45 Invaders attend the dinner.  We had an almost uninterrupted cruise out to the dinner as well. After dinner, it was back to the host hotel for more story telling and hanging out.

Day 5 – Sunday June 23rd

Sundays at the Invasion are always a bit lower key and this one was no exception.  A little later start at the park and fewer cars returning.  No new Invaders or cars, but still had over a dozen folks come by and hang out until lunch time and then some folks started the journey home.  A few of us were hanging around until Monday so it was another great time hanging out at the host hotel and some of the local restaurants including a run over the Windchill Factory for dinner and ice cream.

I even got a chance to paint up Henry’s ammo box trashcan while we sat around at the hotel.
