[T3] Type 34 Karmann Ghia Road trip to Las Vegas...

I use three resources while traveling. I travel a lot for work. Yep, retired twice and sucked back into working again.
My resources are 1) Paper Maps (the give a better overview). 2) Waze and/or Goggle Maps. 3) Internet searches for stops along the way.
Identifying places to stop and eat at along the way while traveling alone can be a challenge. What works best for me is identifying the next few towns I will be passing through; then stopping while searching for a place on Google Maps.
That area has some good food. Soups, lunch, and dinners at local bars can be a great choice. I am not a fan of fast food.
When I work in Wisconsin (Milwaukee, Green Bay, Marinette) I love the local homemade soups, bring a cooler to load up with cheese, steaks, brats, and hot dogs. The cooler becomes my return checked baggage.

I've found that Google Maps is much better than my Garmin GPS.
I'm fine, driving with its assistance in unknown surroundings. I've
found that the one thing that's hard driving solo is finding a place
to stop for lunch. The places I like tend to be small, with not much
of a sign, so I'm past them before I realize they're there.
