[T3] 2026 Invasion Updates...

Well that’s just the thing, this is a fresh rebuild and not a high mileage
tranny. He did put syncro's in it if I recall,
It was low mileage when he got it as the first build was at the tranny shop
in California, too bad they didn’t change the input
Bearing and none of this would have been an issue, it didn’t pop out after
the first build.

My builder as to go in again anyway, so any wear on the shift forks can be
taken care of then, I need it for the summer not only for the invasion
But to haul all my furniture up to the camp, and a couple other long
trips....

Yes, it's unlikely to be the gear itself. The parts are held in mesh by the
springs that push 3 little lugs outwards against the inside of a larger
ring.
This is all part of the syncro ring assy. I don't know what wears when this
happens, but I've heard that something must wear, since this seems to happen
on high mileage trannys. I'd be concerned about bungie cordiing the shift
lever, as that would maintain side thrust and wear on the shift fork and the
slot it rides in.

worn, or what is not doing its job if its not supposed to be worn. I still
don´t have a picture In my head of why it pops out but my builder assures me
its not the new 4th gear itself.
