The push rods are of a very specific length for a stock engine, and need to
be cut to a very specific length for a custom engine. Wrong length and you
wipe out the valve train geometry, wear things at an accelerated rate, or
shove your valves into the pistons.

Not good,

Keith

Subject: Re: [T3] Spark Plug Cleaner

hello , i just finished rebiolding my type 3 engine and i have a problem.
I have alot of clacking noise from tge cylinder heads , especially from the
right side, the problem could be because

i installed shorter push rods from another engine (i had 4 long ones and 4
short
ones and i only had 8 short ones).
Is there any diference between the cyl. heads (are they left or right
orientated
?).
The same rods are silent on the left side and i also changed the rockers.
What is the solution to the clacking noise other than new long push rods?
I am open to suggestions.

WBR Alex
