[T3] Stinking hood

i lengthened the rod a bit and will test it tonight.  this has been an
issue since the '10 invasion trip when i hit that high spot in the road at
night.  i'm sure it moved the strut a bit (has been damaged since the car
accident in 04).  so, it will continue to require attention for awhile...
once i can afford body work, i will get it all sorted.
